JASTI's approach to RoHS2 prohibited substances

Restriction of Hazardous Substances is a Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances promulgated by the European Union (EC) on February 1st, 2003. In order to protect human health and the environment, this directive restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and devices distributed within the EU.
These products (categories) and substances subject to regulation will be reviewed and added in the future, but currently the following substances are subject to regulation.
▼ Regulated Substances Lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, PBB, PBDE, cadmium

In addition to these 6 substances, the following 4 materials were newly added in June 2015 (2015/863), and now 10 materials are regulated.

▼ Additional controlled substances DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP

The four newly added substances are mainly phthalate compounds, which are widely used as plasticizers for PVC in Japan.

Regulation in Europe is scheduled from 2019.
Although DINP is not directly applicable to the above four products, it is a phthalic acid compound, and there are concerns that it may become a regulated substance in the future. Therefore, we have changed to a plasticizer that does not contain phthalic acid (Phthalic acid) in 2015. This information is presented in JASTI's product catalog, so please refer to the product catalog.

In addition, lead, which is a restricted substance for the above six products, is currently scheduled to be replaced by an alternative substance, and will be used as a completely RoHS Free dummy.
Please use this product with confidence as it is designed with human health and environmental protection in mind.
Of course, dummies and their components are not currently regulated by the EU, but JASTI will continue its efforts to manufacture safer products.
The RoHS regulations for dummies are as follows. Please feel free to contact JASTI for more information on RoHS regulations for dummies.
